Instructions
Begin by making your all-natural, vegan lip gloss by taking half of a cup of organic almond oil and putting it into a small mixing bowl. Take 4 tbsp. of solid, organic cocoa butter and grate it using a standard cheese grater. Try to get small flakes. Once grated, put the flakes into the mixing bowl with the almond oil. Stir the oil and the cocoa butter well.
Take two Vitamin E capsules and drain the liquid into the bowl. Stir the contents of the bowl thoroughly until the Vitamin E and the almond oil are well mixed, and the cocoa butter flakes are evenly dispersed. Add one drop of peppermint essential oil to the mix.
Pour the contents of the small mixing bowl into a steel cooking pot. Put on the stove and set the temperature to low heat. Let the mix simmer, allowing the cocoa butter to melt fully. Stir the mix while it is on the heat.
Take the pot off the stove and let it cool to room temperature. Speed up the cooling by putting the pot into the refrigerator for a few minutes. The final solution should be fairly thick, and if it is not thick enough to use as lip gloss you can add more cocoa butter. If it is too thick, you can add a little more organic almond oil.
Pour the cool mixture into a plastic or glass bottle that has a tight lid. Shake the bottle several times to further mix the solution. When using you can put a small, half dime size amount on your finger and then apply to your lip. Know that the lip gloss can be kept up to a month if it is in the refrigerator, but if it is kept in the bedroom or bathroom it should only keep for a couple weeks.
