SUNBLOCK OR SUNSCREEN

sun protection products have been hot discussion item over the past few years as consumer protection bodies have introduced measures to ensure that information regarding sun screens and sun blocks are clarified. The difference is in the way they work and the type of UV protection they provide.Sunblocks - stop UV rays penetrating the skin by adding a layer on the skin surface.Sunscreens - penetrate to deep layers of the skin and reflect harmful rays. The key to selecting an effective sun protection product is to understand the ingredients in the products, and how they work based on the activities you engage in.There are two types of UV that harm your skin:UVA - damages the inner layers of the skin and causes wrinkles and lines, and skin cancer.UVB - the most damaging radiation, burns the skin and damages the skin cell DNA, resulting in long term skin disease. Most sunscreens protect from UVA damage, but only broad spectrum sunscreens protect both from UVA and UVB. These are the ones to look for.Previously, those products that protected from both UVA and UVB were referred to as 'Sunblocks'; and those that protected the skin from UVA, referred to as 'Sunscreens'.Many consumer bodies around the world are now banning manufacturers from referring to their broad spectrum sun protection products as sun blocks, unless they work in the manner as outlined above. This has just added confusion to the market for consumers - hence the need to fully understand the ingredients in the products.UV Sunscreen Ingredients Overall you are aiming to use a sun protection product that:
Blocks both UVA and UVB for at least 2 hours
Is waterproof - if required
Does not irritate the skin - especially if you have sensitive skin
Maintains its effectiveness for the duration
Is easy to apply and does not stain clothing.

BEAUTIFUL EYES

Beautiful Eyes
Eyes have been called the windows of the soul because of how much they communicate. Eyes give your face energy and individuality. They do not have to be a certain size or shape to be considered pretty - all eyes have their own unique beauty. When makeup is applied to look natural it will bring out the eye’s true color and enhance the eye’s beauty. When you feel good about your makeup you will be more confident and will have one less thing to worry about.A subtle application of eyeliner, shadows and mascara work together to create magic and make your eyes look their best.Eye ShadowEye shadow is meant to highlight and define the eyes. Eye shadow is used to create depth to bring out the beauty of the eyes. A dark color used on the lid will make the eye appear smaller, while a lighter color will make it appear larger. That is what eye shadow is about creating illusions. These are the basic techniques for the following eye shapes:Small eyes: Don’t use too much shadow or liner – it will make you eyes look smaller. Apply a light color on eyelid, use a darker color in the crease and use a highlighter under the brow.Large eyes: Wear darker shadow on the lid and extend it to the crease. Use a flat color under the brow to highlight.Deep-set eyes: Use light colors on the eyelid and under the brow. Use a medium color in the crease. Emphasize the outer corners with shadow.Wide-set eyes: Use darker colors on the inner corners of the eye.Hooded eyes: Apply light colors on the lid. Use darker colors from the center of the eyelid to the outer corners and blend.Round eyes: Make round eyes longer by using color all around and extending toward the outer corners.Asian eyes: Apply highlighter under the brow. Use light shadow on the inner half of the lid and a darker color on the outer half.

CLEANSING ROUTNE

Develop a Healthy Skin Cleansing Routine
Your skin is the largest organ that your body possesses. It provides protection from the elements and foreign objects, has the ability to heal itself and keeps harmful bacteria from entering your body. It also provides an outlet for bodily waste, via sweat and cools the rest of the body. Your skin is very important to your well-being and it´s a good idea to take care of it so it will stay healthy and youthful. The best way to maintain your skin in optimum condition is to wash it daily. However, a simple scrub with soap and water isn´t always the best way to do things. Anyone with sensitive skin knows that some cleansers can be quite harsh and damaging, but even if you have regular skin, you may notice some bumps and redness occuring when you use regular soap to wash with. It´s almost always best to use a specially formulated cleanser, particularly on the face.Your skin has a fairly neutral pH, but most soaps are acidic. This might be fine for cleaning your hands, but in general, a more neutral soap is the best way to go when washing your body. The face requires special attention, because it is exposed to the elements and sun and tends to be thinner and more fragile than the skin on other parts of the body.A good skin cleansing routine should be gentle. Despite popular opinion, it isn´t a good idea to scrub at your face or wash with soap several times a day. These practices can damage your face and dry out the skin. For those with oily skin, washing more often will only cause your body to produce more oil.Begin your day with a gentle wash. A very basic, neutral pH facial cleanser is fine for this purpose. Rinse very well and pat your skin dry with a soft towel. A good moisturizer is recommended after washing, to rehydrate your skin and help protect it during the day.In the evening, wash your face again. Really, this evening step can be just a rinse with warm water to remove the grime of the day, unless you use makeup. Makeup tends to clog the pores and leaving it on or not removing it completely can cause zits. So, use a gentle makeup remover or cold cream and then wash your face with a foaming cleanser and rinse well. Pat dry with a towel. For those with dry skin, another application of moisturizer can be useful at night.A deep clean is a good idea once or twice a week, but shouldn´t be done every day. Your deep cleanse routine should include a more serious cleanser and possibly an astringent, which can help remove excess oil and get the dirt out of pores. For a truly deep pore cleansing, try running hot water into the sink and then lean over it, allowing the steam to gently open your pores. Then wash with a foaming cleanser and, if needed, use an astringent. Never use plain alcohol on your face as it is very damaging.Once you have finished with your weekly deep cleansing, rinse your face well with warm water and dry by patting it with a towel. Apply a moisturizer to rehydrate the skin, especially if you used an astringent and then continue with your regular daily skin cleansing routine for another week.Having a proper routine is a very good idea for your skin. It will maintain you skins healthy natural glow. This reduces zits and infections caused by dirt being trapped under the skin and causing infections. For anything that was missed, the weekly deep cleanse will help a lot.Pure, organic beauty products are great for your skin and compliment your natural beauty. Finding true organic products is not always easy.

summer hair care tips

SUMMER HAIR CARE TIPS 4 u

Summer is approaching, time to wear short hairstyles and pay special attention to your hair care, because the sun and humidity is the worst enemy of your hair's cuticles, causing damage that results in split ends, dry hair, frizzy hair or brittle hair. In healthy conditions, hair’s moisture content is approximately 10%, but sunlight has the same damaging effect as a hot blow dryer on your hair. When hair's moisture content drops below normal moisture, it is necessary to increase your hair's ability to attract and retain natural moisture, preventing dry hair. Frizzy hair is a pain that can be prevented by shampooing your hair thoroughly and then applying a rinse out conditioner to eliminate static electricity, adding moisture and shine.Keeping a hair care routine and short hairstyles during summer does help to prevent novice effects of sunlight. Additionally, wearing a hat at the beach, and applying after sun exposure such as a Sun Hair Repair Mask, keeps or replenishes the moisture of your hair. However, take in mind the aluminizing and voluminzing products make your hair take body and shine but do not hydrate it.In this case, it is much better to trim the damaged sections of your hair off, particularly if you have frizzy hair, and opt to wear any of the modern short hairstyles to mask the problem while your hair grows again. One thing you should discontinue during summer is the use of blow dryers because summer heat is hot enough to damage it by itself and contains potential frizzies. There are many hair care products to control frizzy hair, but be careful. Most of them contain silicone that coats your hair after several applications causing major harm instead of benefits to your hair. On the other hand, some hair conditioners only provide moisture to your hair while they are coating your hair as well. These products do not harm your hair, but do not help either.Short hairstyles for summer time are the key to enjoying the sun and yet remember to continue religiously your hair care routine without missing your sunny days.

REMOVING MAKEUP TIPS

REMOVING MAKEUP

Though makeup does fade during the course of the day, you still need to remove it thor, especially if the makeup is oil based. If you don't completely oughly at nightremove your makeup daily, it can attract dirt, clog pores, and cause breakouts. Women who use water based products may be able to remove all of the makeup with the same cleanser used on the face in the morning. However, oil based makeup used on dry or combination skin will need. to be removed with a makeup removal product. One brand to try is Dermablend Remover/Nettoyant.Makeup removers are formulated for skin type. Once you've selected one for your skin, apply the product according to instructions. You may need to leave it on your skin for several minutes to give it time to dissolve the cosmetics. Use tissue or cotton balls to gently wipe away the residue. Cotton swabs may be more useful for the sensitive eye area (but avoid cotton if you wear contact lenses). Take care not to tug or pull at your skin. If makeup does not come off, you may need to apply additional remover or switch to a more effective product. Women with sensitive skin should avoid products containing irritants such as alcohol and fragrance.
Makeup and Allergies
Makeup and AllergiesOccasionally, makeup ingredients can trigger allergic reactions. These reactions most commonly occur on the upper and lower eyelids from eye makeup such as eyeliner and mascara because of the preservatives these products contain. Signs you may have a makeup allergy may also include a rash, swelling, or excessive wrinkling of the skin around the eyes. Also, you may develop a sudden breakout on the skin or a rash around the lips (owing to dye in some lipsticks). If you notice a reaction, stop using the product immediately. Take an antihistamine to relieve symptoms if the reaction persists. If reactions continue no matter what product you use, schedule an appointment with a dermatologist or an allergist. The physician can administer an allergy patch test to determine what specifIc ingredient your skin may be reacting to. One way to avoid potential triggers of allergic reaction is to patch test the product on your skin before use. If you are allergic to your mascara, you might try applying a small amount of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to lashes for a fuller, thicker appearance.

SYMPTOMES AND TREATMENT OF BLACKHEADS

Symptoms for Blackheads
People of all ages get blackheads, but it is most common in adolescents. Nearly 85 percent of adolescents and young adults between the ages of 12 and 24 develop the disorder.
Common Symptoms of Blackheads:
Coarse skin complexion may lead to the condition of blackheads.
If your skin pores get enlarged, they may inturns to blackheads.
Flaky skin shows the presence of blackheads.
Mouldy skin appearance
Makeup doesn't stay in the skin of peoples, who are suffering from blackheads.
Blackheads appear in areas of skin that have a large number of sebaceous glands.
Blackheads consists of several different types of 'spot', which can be roughly divided as follows:
Acne - In serious conditions, pimples and acnes become the symptoms of blackheads.
Whiteheads - Small, firm bumps with a white centre.
Pustules - Pus-filled spots with an obvious balloon of white pus, which may turn yellow as the spot begins to heal.
Nodules - Hard Lumps under the skin that can be very painful, go deep into the skin and often cause scars. These are the most common type of spot found in very severe acne, and they often run together in groups. When they heal, they may leave scars.
Treatment for Blackheads:
If you consult some beautician for the treatment of your blackheads, make sure, a sterilized implement is used for removing blackheads. A gadget, known as 'blackhead extractor' is available these days. It should be cleaned regularly and the gadget should be kept in hydrogen peroxide before use.
Some Effective Tips to Get Rid of Blackheads:
Use creams containing AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Fruit acids) like glyco-creams that will clear away any dead skin cells and "expose" the blackhead.
Keep your hair away from your face. Greasy hair and skin go together, and hair can spread infection.
Avoid washing the face with soaps more than twice a day. Instead you may wash your face many a times in a day but with plain water.
A drug named " adapalene " does wonder in reducing the blackhead formation by stimulation of skin growth through modulation of cellular differentiation and keratinization of follicular epithelial cells, i.e. it encourages skin peeling.
Doctors usually recommend an OTC or prescription topical medication for people with mild signs of blackheads. Topical medicine is applied directly on the blackheads or on the entire area of affected skin. Medicines or Lotions include - Benzoyl Peroxide, Resorcinol, Salicylic Acid, and Sulfur are the most common topical OTC medicines used to treat blackheads.
Oral Antibiotics (tablets), such as tetracycline, can be prescribed for inflammatory blackheads.
Antibiotics - help stop or slow the growth of bacteria and reduce inflammation.
Apply an astringent. It helps reduce oiliness. If its a bit harsh mix a bit of rose water in it.
Gram Flour and Curd - Apply a paste of gram flour and curd on the affected area. When the mixture hardens and dries up, gently scrap off with your finger tips and wash the face.

CAUSES OF BLACKHEADS

Their dark appearance is caused by the densely packed skin cells, which take on a dark color. A term used to describe the skin's pores clogged by natural oils and impurities. It is formed when oil and dead skin cells become trapped in a pore and mix with bacteria. They are called open comedones because blackheads are open to the skin's surface and become darkened at the surface by exposure to oxygen (oxidation).
Causes of blackheads:
Some Important Causes of Blackheads includes:
Blackheads are caused when sebum (the skin's natural oil) collects and hardens in the pores. The toxins that are being expelled through your skin from the blood and lymph fluid combines with sebum creating a pasty glue. A blackhead occurs when the trapped sebum and bacteria partially open to the surface and turn black due to melanin, the skin's pigment.
Use of ineffective cleanser or following a poor cleansing routine - results in accumulation of staled dead cells, hardened sebaceous secretion, salt (from sweat), waste, bacteria, dirt; as well as waxes, coloured pigments for those using makeup and/or fatty-based skin care products.
Acne, is another one of the main cause of blackheads. It is caused by the overactivity of the sebaceous glands that secrete oily substances onto the skin.
Other possible causes of blackheads are:
Genetics: If there is the history of blackheads in your family, then you are more prone to get affected by blackheads.
Hormones: The condition when hormones get imbalance, they may cause blackheads. Overactivity of testosterone in people prone to blackheads, triggers the sebaceous glands to produce an excess of sebum. At the same time, the dead skin cells lining the openings of the hair follicles are not shed properly and clog up the follicles.
Prescribed Medications: Some prescribed medications may also lead to formation of blackheads as a side effect , though this is a rare cause.
Oil Based Cosmetics : The oil based cosmetics may also induces blackheads due to allergic reactions.
Stress: Stress, is another factor - which may contribute to a person's lack of personal hygiene or caring, and physical irritations such as tight clothing rubbing on the same spot are also factors that can influence the formation of blackheads.
Physical irritation
Humidity and Environmental Pollutants: The weather, including humidity or environmental pollutants, which increase perspiration and can clog the pores with mini-particles also add to the factors that can cause blackheads.

SKIN BLEACHING

A skin bleaching pill could also be used for skin bleaching.
Strong winter winds and scorching summer heat are enemies of complexion. Beauty conscious women feel concerned over the ravages of weather and seek timely help of beauticians. Skin Bleaching is useful in regaining the original complexion and helps in revitalizing the paleness of skin due to heat of dryness. Skin Bleaching also prevents growth of facial hair. Generally, threading or waxing is advised as a remedial measure for removal of unwanted facial hair. Waxing produces wrinkles and threading hardens the roots of hair. Skin Bleaching, on the other hand, colours the thin and fine hair and keeps the complexion fair by hiding these tiny hair.
Often, I get clients with problems created by defective skin bleaching at home. In an attempt to bleach their face themselves, they have disfigured themselves. Skin Bleaching requires an efficient knowledge of the ratio and proportion of the powder and other ingredients used in a skin bleaching cream or pill. Separate mixture is required for different persons. Disproportionate mixture of ingredients in skin bleaching cream can harm skin and may cause allergy to skin bleaching or may scorch the skin making it stained. It is, therefore, better to get a first skin bleaching once done by an expert beautician. Later on, after learning the technique, one may do it herself or himself. But, it is better to use test a little mixture on sensitive skin on lower side of the neck to test its effect. If there is mirror irritation, you should not worry. But if the burning is sharp, discontinue the use of that skin bleaching pill.
Homemade Skin Bleaching Cream
A simple bleaching system consists of hydrogen peroxide containing ammonia to give a pH of 9 to 10.
Homemade Skin Bleaching Cream Recipe # 1 - Take one spoonful of bleaching powder, put it in a bottle and add a half spoon of hydrogen peroxide. Put two or four drops of ammonia in it, mix well using cotton swab or a brush. Close the lid immediately.
Homemade Skin Bleaching Cream Recipe # 2 - Take 2 teaspoons of fuller's earth mixed to a paste with one teaspoon of 20 volumes peroxide and six drops of ammonia. Apply the paste and leave it on for 5-10 minutes.
Fancy packages of cream bleaches are now available, making bleaching very simple.

DIET FOR U SKIN

Some people have even come out with extraordinary claims, suggesting, for example, that salads will dramatically change your appearance and to develop a perfect skin you must take vitamin and mineal supplements. Although there is no harm in denying the fact that you must take a varied and a balanced diet, but it is equally important to remember, that the single most important factor in determining the beauty of your complexion is heredity and your eating habits play only a very small part in it.
However, if your diet is rudely deficient in certain main elements, then the skin can develop problems. In people taking normal balanced diets this does not happen. But after severe illness, surgery and in people who are on crash diets, problems might occur.
With complete nutritional deficiehcies, as occurs in severe illness of any type, the skin becomes dry and dark. The lips become sore, the hair falls, and the nails develop ridges and may even get discoloured. The feet become edematous.
Vitamins and Minerals
Vitamin A is very important for the health of your skin and eyes. The richest sources of this vitamin are cod liver oil, carrots, spinach, milk, and egg-yolk. If the diet is lacking in this vitamin, the skin becomes excessively dry and develops pimples. Vision at night becomes defective. But remember, you should also not overdose yourself with Vitamin A, because this also can cause dryness and roughness of the skin, falling of the hair and soreness of lips.
Cracking and soreness of lips also develop in vitamin B deficiencies. Meat, milk, green vegetables, pulses and cereals are rich sources of vitamin B.
Vitamin C is found in all citrus fruits. It is a very important constituent for the health of your skin.
Apart from vitamins, your diet should also include minerals. Iron makes the blood healthy - consequently it imparts a healthy pink glow to your skin. Iron is found in several green vegetables, in fruits and in meats. Zinc is also very important for the health of your skin
Beverages for beautiful skin
Many beverages can actually harm the skin. Alcohol and coffee cause the small blood vessels, under the skin surface to widen. This results in the familiar flushed look. Though, the effects of both alcohol and coffree are initially only temporary, excessive driking will cause permanent widening of blood vessels making them apparent as thread veins. There are also several other causes of thread veins: heredity, effects of the sun, a highly spiced diet and extremes of temperature. You can't help inheriting your genes, but you can certainly avoid the other factors to retard the appearence of thread veins.

FOOT CARE TIPS 4 U

FOOT CARE
People with diabetes have an increased risk for infections, expecially in their feet. Decreased circulation and changes in the blood vessels in the extremities can cause healing to be delayed. Complications can be devastating, if cuts and sores become infected. If the body can't fend off the infection, gangrene can develop. Amputation of the affected limb is often the result. Reduce the risk of complications and infections by following these tips.
1. Inspect Your Feet
Make sure to inspect your feet daily. Any signs of trauma such as redness or blisters, cuts, cracks, swelling or color changes should be reported to your healthcare provider immediately. Using a mirror can help you see all areas on the bottoms of your feet.
2. Does The Shoe Fit?
Be certain that your shoes fit with room to wiggle your toes. Look inside your shoes before putting them on, in case there are any foreign objects hiding in there, such as gravel, that could cause sores or irritation. Wear clean well-fitting socks.

3. Toe The Line
Wash feet everyday and make sure that you dry them thoroughly. Inspect between your toes.

4. Nail Care
Always cut nails straight across and then smooth the edges with an emery board. For ease in cutting toenails, trim them after your bath or shower.

5. Do Not Self-Treat
See a podiatrist for corns, calluses or ingrown toenails. Do not attempt to self-treat these conditions.

6. Prevent Cracking
If your skin is dry, apply cream or petroleum jelly to feet and heels, but avoid the area between your toes. If cream sits in the crevices it can waterlog the skin and make it more susceptible to infection.

7. Keep Circulation Flowing
Try not to cross your legs when you sit down. This can limit circulation.

8. Keeping It Moderate
Protect your feet from extremes in temperature. Keep bath water temperate in the 85-90 F degree range (30-32 C). If neuropathy is present, you may not be able to feel if the water is too hot, and burns could result. Never use heating pads or hot water bottles. Protect your feet from temperatures that are too cold, as well. Prolonged cold can decrease circulation even more.

9. Pump It Up
Ask your healthcare professional about an exercise program that's right for you. Regular exercise improves circulation to all your extremities.

10. Last But Never Least
It's so important to practice preventative care like the tips listed here, every day. If you notice anything that does not look normal please follow up with your healthcare professional immediately. Also, for ultimate foot health, make sure that your healthcare professional assesses your feet at every routine visit.

NAIL GROW

Your nails can be an indicator of your general health, so if they are not healthy, or not growing as fast as you would like, it may indicate a nutritional deficiency. Taking a daily multivitamin is a good start. You can take a general multipurpose vitamin, or look for varieties that are formulated specifically for hair and nail growth. Some people report increased hair and nail growth while taking prenatal vitamins, even if they are not pregnant. Protein and calcium are also important to nail health, so be sure you're diet is rich in high-quality protein and calcium sources such as milk and cheese.
Another important factor in promoting nail growth is to prevent breakage and damage to your nails while they are growing out. Nails are weaker and more prone to breakage when they are wet, so be sure to wear gloves when you are washing dishes. Also, wear gloves when you are gardening or using harsh cleaners or chemicals. A good rule of thumb to remember is anything that damages or dries out your skin will also damage your nails. Obviously, try to avoid biting your nails or using them as screwdrivers or letter openers.
Routine nail care can keep your nails healthy and strong. It's best if you can leave your nails bare and natural whenever possible, but if you do use polish or nail glue, give your nails a break from time to time. Manicure your hands regularly; push cuticles back instead of cutting them, and file nails just enough to keep the edges smooth and squared. Also, keep your hands well-moisturized and rub the lotion or moisturizer into your nails as well.
Besides basic moisturizer, there are some topical treatments that may improve nail strength. Nail polishes, particularly those with hardeners, may be beneficial in protecting thin or brittle nails while they are growing out. Remember to alternate periods of polishing with periods of letting your nails breathe. It is also thought that soaking your nails in gelatin helps strengthen your nails, allowing them to grow without breaking as quickly.
If your notice problems with your nails such as yellow or green discoloring, redness, swelling, or pain in the nail bed, it is time to see your doctor. You may have a fungal infection in your nails. Anyone can get a fungal nail infection, but it is more common in people who wear artificial nails. Your doctor can prescribe either a topical medication that you apply directly to the nails, or an oral medication that will attack the infection from within. Occasionally, nail problems are an early indicator of more serious health problems, so be sure and check with your doctor if you have concerns about the health of your nails.

Tips 4 your hair

Start with your diet, increase the intake of fresh fruits and green vegetables, drink plenty of water and cut short spicy or junk foods. If hairs are in a really bad condition start taking some good multi vitamin for a month or two. You may find some spices to be good for hair. These include turmeric, black pepper and cumin. If you have not been using them, start now, but be careful an excess may be harmful for rest of your body. Always use good quality hair brushes and wide toothed combs. Bad hair brushes may damage hairs and promote split ends. Do not use hair brush on wet hair to de tangle them. Always use a wide tuuthed comb preferably of natural bruises in wet hairs. This will minimize the hair damage.
Always brush your hair before going to bed. This is because hair grow more rapidly at nights tha day times. By brushing you increase the blood supply to scalp thus promoting growth process.
Cut short the use of styling products, blow dryer, hair dyes and so on. Their excessive use may damage the original shine of hairs
Avoid stress, stress or anxiety may lead to hair loss.
Always use a shampoo and conditioner according to your hair type.
Avoid sleeping in hair accessories such as barrettes, scrunches, head bands, etc. This can lead to hair damage.

Skin Toners

Natural Facial Skin Toners For a Sparkling and Glowing Skin
This category of skincare products include cosmetics like skin fresheners, natural skin toners and astringents. They basically contain alcohol and water. Glycerine, witch hazel, menthol, camphor, boric acid, rose water and alum are often added. The basic difference in the formula is in the amount of alcohol these products contain. As alcohol has a very drying effect, there is little or none of it in the productsintended for dry skin while the products for use on oily skin have a high alcohol content.
Natural skin toners are used after cleaning the skin, though they can be used as temporary facial cleansers as well, as they can remove grime and oils. Facial toners freshen and tone up the skin and prepare it for application of makeup. They also restore the acid/alkali balance of the skin, because they are pH balanced.
Despite claims to the contrary, skin fresheners, skin toners and astringents do not close pores. As a matter of fact, no cosmetic product can alter the actual size of the pores. What really happens after using these products is a mild irritation of the skin. This results in swelling of the skin and so the pores appear less prominent

conditioner

Do you know that most people misuse conditioner? It's often not necessary to use an entire palmful immediately following shampoo in the shower. Everyone is unique, why shouldn't the way you care for yourself be?
Dry, Knotty, Wavy or Curly Long Hair
Curly hair is gorgeous, but unfortunately it doesn't allow natural oils to slide down the shaft as easily as straight hair. That just means in order to get your locks nourished and healthy, it may be necessary to take extra care of the ends of your hair.
If your hair tangles easily, your best option may be to use a leave-in. Using it within minutes of getting out of the shower while hair is still wet, can give your hair the extra moisture it needs to stay smooth through the day.
You can be generous with the conditioner on the ends of your hair, working your way up, but stay away from the scalp and roots. Then wrap in a very loose bun for a few minutes to allow the nutrients penetrate your long hair.
Straight, Knot-free Long Hair
If you don't have a problem with knots, following shampoo with a light moisturizer in the shower is perfectly fine. However, depending on how often you wash your hair, you may want to stay away from the roots in order to keep your style from looking too shiny. Follow the same technique

Washing every day isn’t always necessary, it can even be quite harsh on your long hair. The stress of washing and blowing out your locks can weaken them, increase your chances of having split ends, and severely dry out your long hair.
Allowing the natural oils to penetrate further than the root and shaft can be healing and strengthening for your hair. I have worked with models and actors who follow this advice. The only reason not to skip a day of washing is if you’ve worked up a sweat at the gym or went out last night to a bar.
I even know of a Salon Manager who washes her hair every couple of months, and no one knows the difference! Most people most likely assume she has a unique style and think nothing of it. Now that's a little extreme, but you get what I'm saying..
If you’re still kind of freaked out by the idea of not washing your hair everyday, that's okay, too. Simply make su
The selection of hair care products these days is dizzying. I have personally spent thousands of dollars experimenting with different products and tools, not to mention hours questioning stylists and clients for opinions on products.
The truth is that certain salon brands aren’t that much better than store brands. But for the most part, you aren’t going to find quality unless you know what to look for. Sodium Laureth Sulfate is the most gentle cleansing ingredient of the three main ones used in mainstream shampoo

SHAPING UR EYEBROWS

Shaping Your Eyebrows: How to get the perfect arch shape
Shape is also crucial, and if your eyebrows are coarse, creating and maintaining the ideal shape is difficult because pulling out individual hairs can leave large gaps, or severely shorten the length of a brow if you happen to pull out the half-inch hair on the very end.
The perfect eyebrow starts above the inside corner of your eye (over the tear duct), and ends at the outside corner, above your eyelashes. Eyebrows should have an arch: in nature, it’s rarely where it should be, which is a frustrating commentary on standards of beauty. Ideally, the arch happens over the iris, the colored part of your eye. It should be gentle, so if you’re planning to reshape your arch, take it very, very slowly. Do a hair or two a day, and err on the side of caution. Hasty plucking can give you a surprised look that lasts for weeks.
How to Pluck Eyebrows with Tweezers: The Do's and Don'ts
Many women pluck their eyebrows with tweezers. Some wax them, but wax is tricky because it’s hard to get an accurate shape. And some go to a hair removal salon to try "threading." Although threading is newly popular in the United States, it is a centuries-old technique of hair removal practiced in India. The eyebrow experts say never, never to pluck your eyebrows from above, but always to pluck from the bottom of the brow. I say, if you have some wild or stray or bushy hairs growing above your brows, feel free to pluck them. I did it once, and nothing bad happened to me.
I read somewhere that it’s okay to trim your eyebrows. I think this is good if the single hairs are long and thick. You can pluck some hairs and trim the others, brushing them up, evening the ends (be careful not to trim too much!), then brushing them down checking again and again as you go along.

EYE LINER

Eye Liner - Lining the eyes - Adding Depth to your Eyes
Eye liners, including our own indigenous kaajal are the most extensively used form of eye makeup. Liners outline the eye and are particularly attractive in deeper toning colours (to match the eye shadow)
The earlier cake type of eye liner has now been somewhat replaced by liquids and pencils. The liquid liners are sold in bottles either with a separate small brush or in an automatic unit with the brush built into the cap. The product may be either water based (when it is susceptible to wetting with water) or alcohol-based (when it is water-proof). Our own kaajal has also undergone a considerable improvement- from cake to stick and now to a pencil, which is so easy to use.
